ACTIVITIES AT THIS YEAR'S SCARECROW FESTIVAL. 

PUMPKIN PAINTING

Located at the corner of First and Ottawa Ave. Sponsored by Dixon Paint Company. Also featuring fresh apples and caramel apples! Painting will continue while supplies last!

KID'S COWBOY ROUNDUP

On east First Street, come and learn how to rope a cow just like a real cowboy and meet Badger, the friendliest horse you will ever see!

 

BAKE SALE / REFRESHMENTS

The First Baptist Church will be offering baked goods and refreshments across from the Doggy Zoo at the corner of Second and Galena Ave.

PIE IN THE FACE

Sponsored by Immanuel Lutheran Church corner of Hennepin & First Street. Enjoy these great kid friendly games!

DOGGY ZOO

Located at the Lee County Courthouse lawn. Over 50 breeds of dogs will be on display with their owners to answer questions. 10 - 1 p.m.

 

CHALK ART

Grab some chalk and make your best creation!

FACE PAINTING

Mama Cimino's will be doing face painting and offering a free slice of pizza for kids with an adult.

TEMPORARY TATTOOS

Get a temporary tattoo at Wildflower Picks on Hennepin Ave.

FLOWER POT PAINTING

Located in front of Town Square Center on First Street.

PALMYRA HILLBILLIES 4H BOOTH

Located on First Street between Hennepin & Galena Avenues on the south side of the street, the 4H will feature crafts and a bake sale.

FARMERS MARKET - 8 a.m. - noon

Dixon Park District's weekly Farmer's Market. Come check out fresh foods, crafts, and more at Haymarket Square.

The local MOPS group will be holding a food booth featuring apples and other treats.

Catch a ride on the RAMINATOR MONSTER TRUCK sponsored by Ken Nelson Auto and Dodge. At the corner of First and Peoria. Rides are $5 each, but there is limited availability. Get your tickets in advance at Ken Nelson Auto Group.

GREAT DOWNTOWN PUMPKIN PATCH

A NEW addition to the Scarecrow Festival line-up this year is the Great Downtown Pumpkin Patch featuring a field of pumpkins at the corner of First and Hennepin Avenue. Come and pick out your favorite pumpkin or try your luck at the Pumpkin Raffle. Enjoy homemade soaps, gourds, and other fall decorations!


TURNING POINT CHURCH BOOTH

Crafts, games, and their Chicken Strip lunch special offered by Turning Point Church's Youth Group.

VENDOR BOOTHS

A variety of craft vendors will be on display including Mary Kay, Thirty-One and more!

 

United Way Kick-Off Party

The United Way is hosting their campaign launch party on the upper deck of Town Square Center from Noon to 11 p.m. Featuring a bags tournament, live music, chili cook-off and much more!

Christmas Walk 50/50 Tickets

Dixon Main Street will be selling our 50/50 Christmas Walk Raffle Tickets during Scarecrow Festival. Drawing will be held at the Christmas Walk on Friday, Nov. 30. The 2011 winner took home $3,400!
