Class Act to Perform at Historic Dixon Theatre

Class Act Big Band is set to perform at the Historic Dixon Theatre on Saturday, April 10 at 7 p.m. as a fundraiser for the Historic Dixon Theatre and Dixon Main Street. As part of the show, 22 area musicians are set to perform, along with the Morrison-based group the Arkansas Connection.

Class Act will perform a "Coast to Coast Musical Journey Across America" featuring big band hits such as "New York, New York", "I Left My Heart in San Francisco," "My Kind of Town, Chicago" and "Kansas City." The band is lead by Ted Fredenhagen of Amboy. Featured singers will be Eileen Quest of Amboy, Angie Harrison of Dixon and Tom Slothower of Sterling.

"This is a great line-up of area musicians and we are delighted to have them together for a unique showcase at the Historic Dixon Theatre," Josh Albrecht, Dixon Main Street Executive Director said. "The best part is that this is an all-ages show that the whole family can enjoy."

Tickets for the show are just $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Kids 12 and under are free. Group ticket sales of 10 or more receive a discount. Tickets can be purchased at Trein's Jewelry, Venier's Jewelry, Amboy Pharmacy and the Dixon Main Street office. Tickets also can be ordered by phone at 815-288-2308.
