Dixon Main Street is once again hosting its annual Community Expo and Home Show on Saturday, April 10. This year, the event will be held at Kitzman's Lumber, 411 W. First Street in downtown Dixon. The expo space will be in the indoor lumber yard allowing the event to be held rain or shine. The past two years more than 500 people walked through the expo to learn more about area businesses and organizations. This is a great way to showcase what area businesses or organizations are all about.
"The show is a great opportunity for area businesses and organizations to showcase what they do in the community," Josh Albrecht, executive director of Dixon Main Street, said. "We are excited to offer this great event in downtown Dixon."
The booth spaces are professionally set-up by Valley Expo and are 8 feet by 10 feet. Cost is $150 or $100 for non-profits. More than 40 vendors participated in 2009. Reserve your space today as there is limited space available. To reserve your space, call 815-288-2308 or go online to www.dixonil.com/mainstreet for a registration form.
This year, the Expo will expand to offer more interactive activities for families. One highlight will be Chicago Cubs great Milt Pappas will be on-hand to sign autographs and to talk with fans.
"The annual Expo is developing into a highlight for downtown Dixon each spring. We hope the community takes advantage of this opportunity to learn about their area businesses and organizations while also having fun with our family-friendly activities," Albrecht said.
